Since 2001 our chief fundraising activity has been our annual 2nd weekend in December craft fair held at the Cy-Fair Exhibit Center, 11206 Telge Road. Former club president Dwayne Henneck successfully chaired the event for six years, seeing it grow from a small craft show to an event selling arts, crafts, collectibles, gourmet foods and many other items. In 2008 the event was renamed "Cougar Christmas Market" to better reflect the variety of merchandise offered by more than 140 vendors in as many as 165 indoor booths with additional vendors located outside the building.

The Exhibit Center is owned and operated by the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District. The 19,256 sq.ft. building provides a wonderful setting for vendors to sell their items to the public with both indoor and outdoor spaces available. Although the building is not climate controlled, it has concrete floors throughout and in 2008 the facility was upgraded to include fire detection and back-up power systems. Also available is a portable defibrillator in case of a medical emergency and for shopping convenience an ATM machine is located next to the information table throughout the show. Admission and parking are free attracting a wide variety of buyers.

The 2010 Cougar Christmas Market dates are Saturday & Sunday, December 11th and 12th. Vendors begin set up of their assigned booth spaces between 9:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday. Vendors requesting electricity must provide their own power strips and 50’ - 100’ electrical cords to run from available outlets. No overhead electrical cords will run, only wall booths will have access to electricity. The building is secured both Friday and Saturday nights with paid law enforcement on duty throughout the night. The hall opens to the public from 9-5 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday 10-4 p.m. Booths are sold in 10’ x 10’ configurations at $90 for the weekend (including electricity) and we ask each vendor to donate an item for our silent auction and/or raffle. Double and triple size booths are available as well. Valeria McDonald is the  contact point for the booths and questions, valeria.mcdonald@airliquide.com or at 713 438-6326 after 4 p.m.

Please use the attached links for our application forms, other show contacts, a diagram of the facility's layout and a flyer for our show. Applications for booth spaces are accepted and reviewed on a first come basis and are subject to being declined at the Club's discretion. Outdoor booth space is sold strictly with the intent of the merchant remaining outside no matter weather conditions or availability of indoor space. Specifically, if it begins raining or there is any other type of change the vendors will not be moved inside. All jewelry booths are committed in 2010, additional applications will be declined and checks destroyed. Thanks very much for visiting our website and we hope to see you at our show!
